Where have you seen Jesus in your life? I am looking for specifics...both physical and emotial/spiritual...where have you seen Jesus working and manifesting on earth? When was that?

As we are socially allowed to see beyond the Jesus that is nice all the time to the real man with real emotions while being our real God - I see Jesus manifested when people can love beyond the sin while still setting firm boundaries and holding on to God's truths. It's a tough line to walk - couldn't do it without Jesus examples to study and review. He totally loved the Pharisees and the way they followed the rules yet condemned those who used rules to hurt others. He also loved the Gentiles in that they understood how to help others unconditionally yet he urged them to live pure lives, incorporate rules that would help each individual not stray from following Christ. My walk with Jesus won't look the same as another's walk with Jesus - and that's okay. As long as our walks aren't hurting each other and were not becoming egotistical that our walk is better than anothers. I can respond to those who have hurt me with grace and love that reaches beyond the hurt. It allows for restoration at some point in the near or far future.

ReplyDeleteI'm fortunate to have a lot of aspects in my life where I can clearly see Jesus or examples of him. One of those has been my Dad. He continually demonstrates unconditional love, mirroring the love our heavenly father shows us. As human beings it's hard to love unconditionally. If someone hurts us it's natural for us to want to withhold love. My Dad is by no means perfect but his presence in my life and his example has been a integral part in my walk with Christ.
ReplyDeleteOne of the other areas in my life where I see Jesus is through healing. at the age of 15 I was healed of asthma. I was in and out of the hospital with asthma attacks and always on antibiotics or steroids until a family friend prayed for me for healing. Also just about a month ago I was healed of a hiatal hernia. I'd suffered from acid reflux since child hood because of a hernia I'd gotten from being breach during birth. I went to a worship service at a local church and the pastor prayed for healing of a number of diseases and ailments from tumors to diabetes. He said "tumors disappear, tissue repairs" and the last thing he said was "hernias disappear". I knew it was for me. To know that such a big God is so active in my life is amazing. With all he does he still takes time out for even me.
