Baptism and Spiritual Authority

If anyone wants to post some thoughts on either Spiritual Authority (who are your spiritual authorities) and/or baptism (what it means to you, have you been baptized, what it means today?)

  1. My spiritual authorities are God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Beyond that, I would posit that my Spiritual teachers are every one I come into contact with during my daily walk on this earth. Some teachers I will go to again and again, because their teachings align with God's truths and I learn from their exemplary life of grace and love. Other teachers will challenge my blind spots and help me take the beam or speck out of my own eye and I'll understand God's love for us all better because of challenge. Others, who cause discord, are still spiritually teaching me to become more Christ-like in my reactions to situations. Spiritual Teachers are everywhere. Spiritual Authorities - no one man or woman could take God's place for me. If I submit to a man or woman's spiritual authority here on earth for a time,it is because I, hopefully, have sought God's direction and authority continuously throughout the teaching that that person is to be a spiritual teacher in my life at such a time.
